"Celebrating July 1st with a Bang"

Hello again, Beautiful Humans, today isn’t July 1st, but I can’t help but reminisce about how much joy I felt during the fireworks this year. As I was working on some new Affirmation Cards in a rainbow of colors, my mind wandered back to that magical evening.

Maybe it was the fireworks, or perhaps it was the chance to reconnect with one of my best friends after what felt like forever. Spending time with her and her family was just what I needed. Seeing the kids running around with their glowing bracelets and necklaces, laughing and giggling, filled my heart with so much joy.

These days, it’s rare to see genuine smiles on the faces of adults. The pandemic changed so much, and it feels like happiness has become a little harder to find. It’s something I notice often during my walks—how the joy seems to have faded from so many lives. It’s a feeling that weighs heavy on my heart.

I’m not one to delve into politics here, but it’s hard to ignore how the world has shifted, leaving us clinging to what little light we can find. But on July 1st, I found that light in the smiles of those children, in the warmth of my friend’s presence, and in the beauty of the fireworks.

I hope that day brought you a moment of happiness too, and that today brings you another one.
